Well today is the day I begin my Virtual Assistant internships. I feel a bit like Dorothy at the beginning of her journey to the Emerald City. But I figure Glenda’s directions are just as appropriate for this journey of mine; “Just follow the yellow brick road”. I don’t have a clear vision of my finish line, but I intend to put one foot in front of the other and take the corners as they come. I feel with certitude that I will find wisdom and help from my own Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion on the way!Today I finished up the final paperwork details at school. I have been in contact with both of my mentors and have arrangements to talk with them in the next few days. In the meantime, I am getting organized for my two summer school refresher classes; Microsoft Word and Outlook. It is going to be a busy summer, and I still have Dr. Dunn’s last words ringing in my ears “It going to be a wild ride”!
I love learning and I am so incredibly excited about this opportunity! So on with my ruby slippers. Wish me luck!
You have set your goal. Now live it! May you soon find that the courage to discover and launch a new career was there all along! "There's no place like home", however there is nothing like getting out of the familiar to truly find out what one is truly capable of. You have it all, Wen, brains, heart and, yes, COURAGE!
